Terry Dickinson began his career in art in 1974, painting more than 50 history-related murals throughout the greater Bay City, Michigan area to commemorate the nation’s Bicentennial. He has since continued his public art presence in Frankenmuth, Saginaw, Flint, Grayling, Ludington, Petoskey, Michigan Tech University, and other communities, as well as numerous private homes and businesses. During his career, Dickinson has received several “Best of Show” and “Best of 2D” awards.

In 2010, he accepted the role of Executive Director of the AuSable Artisan Village gallery and cultural center in downtown Grayling, Michigan. After fourteen years leading the organization, Dickinson retired from AAV.

During the final years of his tenure, he oversaw the purchase and renovation of a second location to house a performing arts center along with a clay and ceramic studio.

Dickinson now divides his time between studio and plein air painting, as well as ceramic sculpture.
