My grandmother and mother were both deeply creative and opened many self-taught doors for artistic expression that shaped my passion for art from an early age. After studying art in college and completing an art apprenticeship, I became a more serious oil painter before life eventually pulled my focus elsewhere for a time.
About ten years ago, I rediscovered painting through acrylics and became fascinated by the depth, movement, and versatility the medium could offer. Since then, I have continued developing my own techniques and pushing my work in new directions.
Inspiration can come from almost anywhere — color, texture, reflection, shadow, or the emotion behind an ordinary moment. My work is constantly evolving through layers of paint, repeating patterns, washes, and texture that create depth and movement throughout each piece.
I don’t consider myself confined to one specific style or method. Instead, I allow the painting to develop naturally, creating works that evoke nostalgia, emotion, or simply speak through composition and color alone. The challenge of creating feeling and hidden meaning within a painting continues to drive my creative process forward.
